Sensory 3D technology breaks new ground in the world of ceramic tile production. Through advanced digital processing, sensory tiles with different textures and finishes can be created on a single surface. S3D provides a three-dimensional effect and a realistic texture of natural materials.
Sensory 3D - a new technology in ceramic tiles industry
Precision and synchronisation
The biggest advantage of Sensory 3D technology is the exceptional precision in surface formation. The layers of granilla precisely applied to the tile, through point application of the adhesive, are perfectly synchronised with the graphic print. The material is applied with extraordinary precision down to a few micrometres, allowing individual layers to be applied with the appropriate thickness, creating a variety of textures on the tile. This allows a perfect matching of the texture to the design.
Variety of finishes and textures
Sensory 3D technology enables creating surfaces with a variety of finishes. The surface of a single tile can be matt, satin and smooth at the same time. By using different layers of ceramic materials, structures found in nature can be reproduced. They are replicated with such precision that, when touching the surface of a tile, one can feel particles of sand, veining or structural transitions between smooth and rough areas.
The three-dimensional effect of S3D makes each tile unique. Every detail, every vein of marble, and every natural crack in the rock becomes accessible when viewed or touched. Something that was previously just an image now gains depth and authenticity that you can literally feel under your fingertips. The differentiated structure of the tiles reflects the light wonderfully, giving them a striking depth and bringing out their beauty again and again.
Outstanding resistance and functionality
Sensory 3D technology ensures a finish that is aesthetically pleasing; it also provides high performance for the tiles. S3D surfaces are extremely resistant to abrasion, making them an excellent choice for high-traffic areas such as kitchens, bathrooms and corridors.
New opportunities in interior design
Ceramic tile collections manufactured using Sensory 3D technology open up entirely new possibilities for architects and interior designers to arrange spaces. Customisation, combining different textures and finishes on a single tile, allows unique designs to be created.
Sensory 3D technology
For the production of ceramic tiles using S3D technology, the Tubądzin Group uses the highest quality printers with an advanced function of precise application of granilla with use of glue. These produce even the most sophisticated creations developed by TU_kolektyw's team of experienced architects and designers. The actual production is preceded by the preparation of a number of prototypes, through which the production parameters are optimised, guaranteeing the highest aesthetic and functional qualities of the individual collections.
The main production steps in Sensory 3D technology:
- Parallel printing of graphics with simultaneous, precise application of adhesive.
- Application of granilla layer that permanently bonds to the tile in the adhesive areas. The thickness of the adhesive coating determines the final 3D effect.
- Removal of excess granilla from areas not covered by the adhesive layer.
- Firing in modern, environmentally friendly kilns - maximum reduction in CO2 emissions, through recuperation and recirculation of flue gases.
- Subjecting the surface to a polishing process (depending on the effect you desire)
Sensory 3D technology takes us into a new dimension of perception, engaging the senses in ways that were previously unachievable. Every detail, every vein of marble, every fissure in the rock becomes accessible not only to the eye, but also to the hand. This technology makes the rawness of stone, the subtlety of foliage or the delicacy of wood acquire a new, palpable form on ceramic tiles.
